Ugh. Not ready for Life.
Doodles for Pencil Mileage Club fliers:

Also, school has started again and it's already KICKING MY ASS. It's been but a mere week of classes and already I'm picking up my 5 hr/night sleep average. Woe! I need better time management.

One particular stress spot is my Intro to 3D animation class. This is a pretty accurate description of my troubles:

I JUST CANNOT GET IT. I know it's a good skill to have these days, but I feel like I'm not compatible with this cg stuff ): guuh.

More randomness:

...so I saw this online:

I'm about to start college myself (after a few years in the army) and I was considering majoring in animation. They have some mandatory 3D animation classes that I don't really wanna take. (They assured me that i could major in 2D animation if i so chose.)

Tell me a little about your college experience, all my RL friends are career soldiers and are no help when it comes to art.

Well, my college experience in general has been pretty nice. Doing a duel emphasis in animation/illustration has been a particularly rewarding. I think if you enter with a pretty good skill set then a lot of it is taking your skills and molding them into something you can live off of... a great deal of what I learned helped in the sense of preparing me for art as a career--what to put in portfolios, how to draft proposals and cover letters, how to navigate the complexities of the industry. I think it's also been a great way to take my personal art to different places...my college experience really took me out of my comfort zones, but I'm really grateful for what I learned because I could apply it to what I had and be better for it. It also helps that specific classes help to provide a certain direction for art, so you produce some incredible work that really showcases artistic growth and maturity. It's especially been a pleasure taking preproduction, sequential art, various lifedrawing classes--it's a good way to learn, but it also gives me optimism for what I might be doing in the future. Yea, that was a little blather-y, but basically what I got out of my college experience. We only have 1 mandatory 3D class, but I guess it's probably worth it to gain a little insight into 3d animation. it might not be my passion, but it's still a useful skill.

you might consider illustration instead? unless you are really set on animation. When i think of your work I can see it really flourishing in both fields (:
